VILLA MARIA OLD BOYS REUNION 2017
The Villa Maria Old Boys Committee wish you all good health, in anticipation of the upcoming reunion in June.
This reunion will celebrate the class of 1957 who completed their Intermediate Certificate in 1957as it is 60 years since they left Villa Maria.
These reunions began in 2009 with just 40 names on our data base, and now we are pleased to say that due to the recognition of care of the Marist Brothers who taught us and the dedication of past students, this data base has surpassed 150 names.
The gathering in June will begin at 12 noon and end around 3.00 pm when many adjourn to another club lounge. We hope you can join us on Saturday 17th June at Gladesville R.S.L. to relive moments and fun times from our school days.
We will confirm the entry fee shortly. Finger food will be provided during the afternoon .. also, a bar is available for you to purchase your favourite beverage.

Dear Villa Maria old boys,
The next VMOB’s reunion is scheduled for 12 noon on 13th September, 2024 at the View Hotel, Bradfield Room, North Sydney. Cost $55 which includes room hire, buffet lunch and desert with great views over Sydney Harbour, the bridge and Sydney CBD.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of 1964 old boys. We are still seeking more names & email addresses of those former students, if you can put us in touch with any former class mates. Please pass on to David Collins email address rhood009@yahoo.com.au.

Cost $ 55 entry fee per person payable by card or cash on the day.
Food Hot Buffet with dessert.
Please advise David Collins of any special dietary needs.
Drinks At your own cost from the bar.

As a result of the Wyndham Scheme Mark Street school as we knew it became a primary school and the 1966 boys became the last of a long line of Villa Maria old boys.
A new committee is required if future VMOB reunions are to take place. The outgoing committee is able to make available a current database of old boys & it would be a pity to see it become obsolete with age and to see the sun set on these enjoyable occasions. Please let David Collins know if you are interested in forming a committee or if you would simply like to know what’s involved.

Dear Villa Maria old boy,
First, may we wish you & your family a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and happy 2015.
Plans for the 2015 reunion are already in motion and the planning has reverted back to the original organising committee at the request of John O’Connor who, for personal reasons, is unable to dedicate the necessary time. We know you join with us in applauding John & his team for the great work they have done for us for the last four years.
Your “new/old” reunion committee again comprises Ed Foster, Rick Hyde, Tony Galati & Kev Leary….all four years older but the fires in the bellies still burn!
This year we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1965 Villa Maria old boys & we are keen to contact as many as possible. We also want old boys from any past years to come along & be part of making it the very enjoyable experience it always is.
Our venue is, again, Gladesville RSL the date is 20 June, 2015 for a 12 noon start. The cost is unchanged at $30/head and various finger food will be provided. Liquid refreshments will be available at the attached bar & are at your own cost.
We would appreciate receiving your early payment as it gives us an indicator of attendance numbers. If you
want to pay on the day please let one of us know A.S.A.P. so we can fine tune the catering.
